Training Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Ezine
In the Ezine district of Çanakkale, a two-seater training aircraft belonging to a private aviation company was forced to make an emergency landing due to a motor malfunction. The aircraft, which took off from Balıkesir Koca Seyit Airport, experienced an engine issue mid-flight.
Pilots Sustain Minor Injuries
The plane made an emergency landing in a field located in the Camikebir neighborhood of Ezine. The instructor pilot, Faruk Türkmen, and the student pilot, Burak Genç, escaped the incident with minor injuries. Police, gendarmerie, fire, and medical teams were quickly dispatched to the scene following the emergency landing.
Governor Toraman: “They Are in Good Health”
Çanakkale Governor Ömer Toraman stated that the two pilots on board are in good health. “The plane made an emergency landing in the Ezine area. Both pilots are safe, and their health is in good condition. The aircraft itself has not sustained significant damage. Our relevant teams are investigating the situation at the site,” said Governor Toraman.
After the on-site investigation, it was reported that the aircraft would be retrieved by company officials. The cause of the engine malfunction is still under investigation.
