Türkiye’s First Unmanned Combat Aircraft Bayraktar KIZILELMA PT-4 Successfully Completed Aggressive Climb and Manoeuvre Test

Baykar Teknoloji, Türkiye’s pioneering company in the defence industry, announced that its developed unmanned combat aircraft Bayraktar KIZILELMA PT-4 has successfully completed the aggressive climb and manoeuvre test.

Baykar Teknoloji Chairman of the Board Selçuk Bayraktar shared footage of the test flight on his social media account, conveying the development to the public.

A Turning Point in Aviation History

The Bayraktar KIZILELMA project, developed with 100% equity capital, started in 2021. Coming off the production line on 14 November 2022 and completing its preparations at the AKINCI Flight Training and Test Centre in Çorlu, KIZILELMA carried out its maiden flight on 14 December 2022.

Bayraktar KIZILELMA, which has achieved many firsts in world aviation history in a short time, performed a formation flight with Bayraktar AKINCI at TEKNOFEST 2023. Afterwards, its fleet concept flight with SOLOTÜRK F-16 and Turkish Stars F-5 jets was recorded as a step that will shape the air combat of the future.

Global Export Success

Since 2003, Baykar has generated 83% of its revenues from exports, ranking among Türkiye’s top 10 exporters in 2023 with $1.8 billion in exports.

Being the “Export Champion” in the defence and aviation sector for three consecutive years, Baykar carried its export revenues to $1.8 billion also in 2024. With this achievement, it further cemented its leadership in the global UCAV market.

Holding a significant share in Türkiye’s total defence and aviation exports, Baykar alone accounted for one-fourth of the sector’s exports in 2024, strengthening Türkiye’s position on the global stage.
