Direct Hit: KEMANKEŞ-1 Showed Its Strength
The KEMANKEŞ-1 cruise missile developed by Baykar successfully completed its launch, cruise, and dive test from the Bayraktar TB2. The missile hit its target with high precision through autonomous flight.
Baykar has added another to its range of artificial intelligence-based unmanned systems developed with national and indigenous technologies. The KEMANKEŞ-1 cruise missile, developed by the company, successfully completed its launch, cruise, and dive tests, marking an important milestone for the Turkish defence industry.
As part of the test, KEMANKEŞ-1, launched from the Bayraktar TB2 UCAV, struck and destroyed the designated target with high precision thanks to its autonomous flight capability. Thus, the missile once again proved its performance under conditions suitable for real combat scenarios.
Footage from the successful test process was shared on social media by Baykar Chairman of the Board Selçuk Bayraktar. In his post, Bayraktar stated, “Bayraktar TB2, 2x Bayraktar #KEMANKEŞ-1 Launch, Cruise and Dive Test,” announcing the successful completion of the test.
With its domestically developed, AI-powered defence technologies, Baykar continues to both strengthen Turkey’s defence capabilities and consolidate its leading position in the global defence industry.
