Boeing 757-200 Loses Wheel, Lands Safely

Another Boeing passenger aircraft under scrutiny in the United States has made headlines. A United Airlines Boeing 757-200 lost one of its wheels during takeoff from Los Angeles International Airport.

Completed Its Flight

There were no fatalities or injuries in the incident, and the plane safely completed its flight, landing in Denver. United Airlines stated that the aircraft was carrying 174 passengers and 7 crew members, adding, “We are investigating what caused this incident.” The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has also launched an investigation into the matter.

Not the First Time

In March, another United Airlines aircraft, a Boeing 777, lost a wheel during takeoff from San Francisco International Airport en route to Japan, damaging several vehicles in the parking lot.
