Türkiye’s UAV Revolution Passes Another Milestone!
Bayraktar KIZILELMA successfully completed its captive flight test with the GÖKDOĞAN air-to-air missile, marking a significant milestone in weapon integration. EOTS and Murad AESA radar tests were also successfully concluded during the same mission.
Türkiye’s unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV), Bayraktar KIZILELMA, has successfully completed another critical stage within the ongoing comprehensive test programme. In the latest flight, the captive flight test with the GÖKDOĞAN air-to-air missile — one of the key elements of air-to-air engagement capability — was successfully carried out. This test confirmed the platform’s high compatibility in weapon integration.
During the test, the aerodynamic effects, structural loads, and compatibility parameters of the national air-to-air missile GÖKDOĞAN on KIZILELMA were thoroughly evaluated. The data link was maintained without interruption throughout the flight, confirming seamless system communication between the platform and the munition.
Within the same mission, KIZILELMA’s advanced mission sensors were also subjected to a comprehensive performance test. The Electro-Optical Targeting System (EOTS) and ASELSAN’s Murad AESA radar demonstrated high performance in target detection and tracking, once again showcasing the platform’s situational awareness capability.
Defence officials state that successfully testing two critical components simultaneously in a single flight significantly accelerates KIZILELMA’s maturation process. According to experts, with each new test, the platform continues to further enhance its operational capabilities.
