The KGK-84 Winged Guidance Kit, developed by ASELSAN using national resources, achieved a direct hit when launched from an F-16. President Görgün highlighted Türkiye’s advanced level in guidance technologies.
President of Defence Industries Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün stated that the KGK-84 Winged Guidance Kit, developed by ASELSAN using national resources, achieved a direct hit on its target during a firing test conducted from the F-16 platform, confirming Türkiye’s competence in defence technologies.
In a post shared on his social media account, President Görgün provided assessments regarding the successfully completed test and operational processes of the KGK-84.
Drawing attention to the KGK-84’s capability to accurately follow pre-determined waypoints from long range, Görgün emphasised that thanks to the advanced guidance technologies it possesses, the munition distinguishes itself from its counterparts worldwide.

Referring to the field performance of the guidance kits, Görgün included the following statements in his remarks:
“Our guidance kits, developed with national engineering capability, have once again confirmed the determination and technological competence of the Turkish defence industry in the field. These achievements are concrete outcomes of our vision, which we have pursued with determination for years, to produce our own technology and gain global competitiveness through national solutions.”
Emphasis on Coordination and National Engineering
Thanking all stakeholders who contributed to the implementation of the project, President Görgün underlined the importance of inter-institutional coordination within the defence industry. He concluded his statement with the following words:
