T625 GÖKBEY Successfully Completes Cold Weather Tests in Sweden
Turkey’s domestic and national general-purpose helicopter, the T625 GÖKBEY, has successfully completed the challenging cold weather tests conducted in Sweden. With its advanced technology and superior engineering capabilities, GÖKBEY continues to undergo testing processes to ensure it can operate safely in all types of geography.
Developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), GÖKBEY is particularly known for its resilience to harsh climatic conditions. Successfully passing the cold weather tests has proven the helicopter’s operational capability in extreme weather conditions.

In a statement from TUSAŞ regarding the tests conducted in the Kiruna region of Sweden at a temperature of minus 23 degrees, it was mentioned: “Our T625 GÖKBEY helicopter has successfully completed the cold weather tests in Sweden. Developed to safely operate in all geographies, GÖKBEY demonstrates the progress our country has made in aviation to the world. With our strength in technology and engineering, we are pushing the boundaries.”
TUSAŞ General Manager Mehmet Demiroğlu also made a statement on the matter: “Our T625 GÖKBEY helicopter has once again shown the world the level of Turkish aviation by successfully completing the cold weather tests in Sweden. This achievement is a testament to the vision of our national aviation ecosystem, which pushes boundaries and opens new horizons. I congratulate all my colleagues who contributed to this success.”
