Turkish Airlines Chairman Ahmet Bolat Announces New Appointments in THY Subsidiaries

Success of Our Subsidiaries in 2023
Our 17 subsidiaries operating in 11 sectors constitute the most important ecosystem of Turkish Airlines (THY). These companies, with a total of 50,671 employees, generated a revenue of 9.7 billion dollars in 2023. Of this revenue, 3.8 billion dollars came from airlines and companies other than THY. Like THY, our subsidiaries also have ambitious goals for 2033.
New Structure and Appointments
I am pleased to share the success of our subsidiaries and our new organizational structure:
- Kerem Sarp, General Manager of AJet, has been appointed to THY OPET Aviation Fuels Inc.
- Ali Türk, Deputy General Manager of THY Cargo, has transferred to WE World Express.
- Okan Baş, THY’s Finance Director, has been assigned as the Chairman of the Board of TKPAY.
- Akif Konar has become the Chairman of the Board of Turkish Do&Co. Those familiar with Akif Bey’s role as Deputy General Manager responsible for operations at THY will understand the significance of these two appointments.
- Our General Manager, Bilal Ekşi, has become the Chairman of the Board for both TCI Aircraft Interiors and Turkish Technology. The former company develops and manages the seats and entertainment – WiFi systems for our aircraft, while the latter develops and manages all digital systems and projects for THY. With Bilal Bey, we can expect brand new cabins and a highly efficient “Digital THY” starting from 2025.
Although there have been changes in the board memberships of our other companies, there has been no change at the presidential level. For example, our Deputy General Manager responsible for THY Human Resources, Abdülkerim Çay, continues to serve as the Chairman of the Board at Turkish Airlines Aviation Academy and THY Support Services Inc.
I wholeheartedly believe that all our subsidiary companies will perform above the set targets for 2024 and wish them success.
