Turkish Airlines will procure a total of 12 domestically produced simulators from HAVELSAN, consisting of eight full-flight simulators and four flight training devices; its training capacity will expand.
Turkish Airlines will procure eight full-flight simulators and four flight training devices from HAVELSAN to increase its flight training capacity. The systems, all of which will be manufactured in Türkiye, will be used at the company’s new Flight Training Center and simulator hangars.
Agreement for 12 Simulators Between Turkish Airlines and HAVELSAN
In line with its goal of expanding its fleet to more than 800 aircraft by 2033, Turkish Airlines signed a contract with HAVELSAN for the procurement of 12 new simulators, all of which will be manufactured in Türkiye. Under the agreement, eight full-flight simulators and four flight training devices will be integrated into the company’s expanding pilot training infrastructure.
The contract is expected to contribute to the capacity of the simulator hangars, whose foundation was laid by Turkish Airlines in January 2026, and the new Flight Training Center, which is scheduled to be completed in 2028.
The first phase of the simulator hangars is planned to become operational in 2027.
Simulators Will Be Manufactured in Türkiye
The simulators, which will be manufactured by HAVELSAN using domestic and national capabilities, will be used in Turkish Airlines’ training infrastructure.
The new systems aim to support the development of advanced pilot training solutions in Türkiye and strengthen domestic capabilities in the field of high technology.
“It Will Become One of Europe’s Largest Training Centers”
Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker stated that the new orders are important for the company’s long-term training objectives.
Şeker made the following remarks in his statement:
“With the newly placed orders, by 2033, the Turkish Airlines Flight Training Center will become one of Europe’s largest flight training centers, operating across three campuses, meeting the needs of Turkish Airlines crews and providing services to other airlines. We thank HAVELSAN for making valuable contributions to this goal through domestic and national simulator solutions.”
HAVELSAN Enters the Wide-Body Simulation Field
HAVELSAN General Manager Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar stated that the contract represents an important milestone for the company.
Nacar made the following remarks regarding the agreement:

Turkish Airlines Actively Uses Seven HAVELSAN Simulators
Turkish Airlines actively uses seven full-flight simulators manufactured by HAVELSAN and certified in accordance with the European Union Aviation Safety Agency’s EASA Level D standards at its training centers.
The company’s current training infrastructure includes the following simulators:
- 3 Airbus A320neo/ceo full-flight simulators
- 3 Boeing 737 MAX full-flight simulators
- 1 Boeing 737 NG full-flight simulator
Under the new contract, Turkish Airlines will receive an additional eight full-flight simulators and four flight training devices from HAVELSAN.
