Near-Miss Accident Averted! Air India and Indigo Planes Face Off on the Same Runway

A major disaster was narrowly avoided at the airport in Mumbai, India. A near-miss accident occurred between a passenger plane landing and another passenger plane preparing for takeoff.

Security cameras recorded that an Air India A320 aircraft was taking off while another Indigo A320 was landing on the same runway. The distance between the two planes was only 500 meters, exceeding the safe separation distance specified in aviation regulations.

The air traffic control unit immediately launched an investigation following the incident. Emphasis is being placed on measures to prevent such risky situations from recurring.
