Dangerous Moments in Las Vegas: Frontier Airlines Plane’s Landing Gear Catches Fire
A Frontier Airlines Airbus A321-200, operating flight F9-1326 from San Diego to Las Vegas, experienced a dramatic incident as flames erupted from its right main landing gear upon landing on runway 26L at Las Vegas.
Emergency services quickly responded after the aircraft came to a stop on the runway, spraying foam and water to control the fire on the right landing gear. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
In a statement from the airline, it was noted that the crew declared a Mayday after detecting a smell of smoke. An investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched.
