Stating that they will launch Turkey’s first local and national satellite, TÜRKSAT 6A, into space in June, Minister Uraloğlu stated that the work in question continues at the Space Systems Integration and Test Center (USET) in TAI facilities and said, “There is very little time left. TÜRKSAT 6A will be a milestone for us. “Hopefully, when we launch TÜRKSAT 6A into space, we will be among the 10 countries that can produce communication satellites,” he said.
Minister Uraloğlu stated that Turkish Airlines proudly carries the Turkish flag in the skies and stated that it has become one of the leading companies in the aviation industry in the world.
Noting that this point is not a surprise, Uraloğlu said, “This work is a product of our politics. Just think, a few decades ago, our people used to see airports in Yeşilçam movies. Today, we have an industry that serves citizens from all walks of life, with airports where landing and take-off can be made even in the most remote corners of Anatolia.” said.

Pointing out that the number of active airports has been increased from 2002 to 26 since 57, Uraloğlu said, “While international flights were operating to 50 destinations in 60 countries, we added 283 new points to our flight network, increasing it to 130 destinations in 343 countries. Minister Uraloğlu also stated that the total number of aircraft, which was 2002 in 489, increased by 280 percent, to 856. He noted that it increased to 162 thousand 312 kilograms, and the cargo capacity increased by 668 percent from 372 thousand 27 kilograms to 599 million 130 thousand 196 kilograms.
