A total of 7 personnel were martyred as a result of the crash of a military helicopter operating in Qatar. While the Ministry of National Defense made a statement regarding the accident, it was reported that the exact cause of the incident will be determined following the investigation by Qatari authorities.
In the statement made by the Ministry of National Defense, it was noted that a military helicopter crashed during a mission carried out in Qatar and that a total of 7 personnel were martyred in the accident.

- 4 Qatar Armed Forces personnel
The Ministry emphasized that military cooperation activities between Türkiye and Qatar continue uninterrupted within the framework of existing agreements.

Condolence Message from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan issued a condolence message for the personnel martyred in the helicopter crash.
In his message, Erdoğan stated that he learned of the accident “with great sorrow” and expressed his condolences for the Turkish soldiers, ASELSAN personnel, and Qatari soldiers who lost their lives, extending his sympathies to their families and loved ones.
