As of May 14th, 2027, Condor will begin flights to Chicago, which it will operate for the first time in its history. The daily flight from/to Frankfurt will be served on a seasonal schedule during Summer 2027, using Airbus A330neo aircraft with a capacity of 310 passengers in three classes (30 seats in Business, 64 seats in Premium Economy, and 216 seats in Economy).
Chicago will become Condor’s 13th destination in North America, joining Boston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Seattle in the United States, with Calgary, Toronto, and Vancouver as its three Canadian cities. The German airline also operates flights between Frankfurt and Cancún, currently offering a daily service with the same aircraft.
According to the press release, Condor’s final flight on the Frankfurt–Chicago route will be on September 12th, 2027.
Currently, Chicago O’Hare International Airport has two routes to Germany, being Frankfurt and Munich the destinations. Both are served by Lufthansa and United Airlines.
Following a six-year hiatus, elta Air Lines will resume service to the Philippines starting March 28th, 2027, with the Los Angeles–Manila route. The U.S. airline will initiate with three weekly flights using Airbus A350-900 aircraft, increasing to daily starting June 7th, 2027.
With the three weekly flight schedule, Delta will offer more than 825 seats per week in each leg, reaching 2,000 weekly seats with the introduction of the daily flight. The carrier will be the second to operate between Los Angeles and Manila after Philippine Airlines, being Delta the only U.S. airline flying in the Los Angeles–Philippines market.
Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday
Philippine Airlines is the leading airline in this market, providing flights to Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Seattle, while United Airlines is the other U.S. carrier operating between the two countries, on the San Francisco–Manila route.
The U.S. carrier will commence operations between Spokane and Honolulu effective December 19th, marking its first route to Hawaii from Spokane. Alaska Airlines currently operates flights from Spokane to Anchorage, Boise, Los Angeles, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Ana, and Seattle.
Tokyo Narita, American’s 11th long-haul destination from Chicago.
American Airlines will begin flights to the Japanese capital from O’Hare International Airport as of March 27th, 2027, with daily service on 285-seat Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. The operations are scheduled to perform year-round, which will be conducted in partnership with Japan Airlines.
Tokyo is American’s only destination in Japan, served currently from/to Dallas (HND/NRT), Los Angeles (HND), and New York (HND).
Effective January 5th, 2027, Breeze Airways will introduce the Tampa–Las Vegas route, to be conducted using 137-seat Airbus A220-300 aircraft. Services will be performed daily under the following schedule:

The Spanish airline will launch its third regular destination in Colombia with the opening of the new Madrid–Barranquilla route starting December 18th. In accordance with its website, Air Europa will offer three weekly flights on Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.
Monday, Friday, and Sunday
Bogotá and Medellín are its other destinations in Colombia.
As of December 11th, the French airline will begin flying to Panama City by Airbus A320-200s, marking its first-ever service to the city with these aircraft.
The flights with A320 will not depart from Paris—where the airline currently operates five flights a week using 324-seat Airbus A350-900 aircraft—but rather from Pointe-à-Pitre, the base for its Airbus A320 in Latin America.
The Panamanian capital will be Air France’s sixth destination in the Americas served using Airbus A320 aircraft, joining Belém, Cayenne, Fort-de-France, Fortaleza, and Miami.
From October 25th to November 11th, Ezeiza Airport in Buenos Aires will be affected by construction work on one of its runways, which will limit the use of the other runway, as the two cross each other.
Runway 17-35 will be closed, leaving as a result only 1,850 meters available on Runway 11-29, meaning that forgeign airlines will have to adjust their operations in the Argentine capital for nearly three weeks.
One of the changes to occur is the suspension of Lufthansa flights between Frankfurt and Buenos Aires—operated with Boeing 747-8i aircraft—from October 25th to November 11th. During that period, the German airline will introduce the Boeing 747-8i on the Frankfurt–Rio de Janeiro route, replacing the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.
For the first time, Lufthansa will fly to Rio de Janeiro using Boeing 747-8 aircraft.
Beginning on December 4th, the British airline will begin operating flights between London Gatwick and Rovaniemi with BA EuroFlyer’s Airbus A320-200 aircraft. As stated on its website, these services will be offered on a one-month seasonal schedule during Winter 2026/2027.
The German carrier will initiate flights between Berlin and Rome starting November 2nd, using 174/180-seat Airbus A320-200 aircraft, four times a week. Eurowings will be the third airline operating on this route, joining easyJet and Ryanair.

Current routes and frequencies
From November 16th, the Spanish airline will fly between Madrid and La Romana, making it its second destination in the Dominican Republic (after Punta Cana). Iberojet will operate one weekly frequency with 371-seat Airbus A330neo aircraft during the 2026/2027 Northern Winter season.
The Greek carrier will begin flights to Barcelona on October 22nd, with a new route from Athens. These services will be provided five times a week using Airbus A320neo aircraft with a capacity of 180/186 passengers.
Daily except Tuesday and Saturday
Barcelona will be SKY express’s third destination in Spain, after Ibiza and Madrid.
Effective November 13th, TUI will launch a new route between Germany and the Canary Islands with the introduction of the Hannover–Tenerife North service. The airline will offer one weekly flight using Boeing 737-800 aircraft during the 2026/2027 Winter Season, with the following schedule:
The airline will introduce flights to Iceland starting October 26th, which will be operated to/from Beijing using Airbus A330-300 aircraft configured to carry 301 passengers in two classes. According to its website, these services will have a stopover in Copenhagen in both directions.
Monday, Thursday, and Saturday
Air China will have traffic rights on the Copenhagen–Reykjavik route and vice versa, making it its first-ever route within Europe.
Airbus A350-1000s to fly to Los Angeles.
Beginning on October 25th, the Taiwanese airline will launch services between Taipei and Los Angeles using Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, replacing the Airbus A350-900s that currently operate this route once daily.
LAX will be STARLUX’s second North American destination to be served by its A350-1000, following Phoenix, where the airline began operating these aircraft effective July 2nd.
As of November 17th, Saudia will add service to Tokyo Narita from Riyadh, operating with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft seating 298 passengers in two classes (24 seats in Business and 274 seats in Economy).
Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday
The Japanese capital will be its first destination in the country.
Air Zimbabwe has returned to Europe.
At 08:58 local time on July 23rd, the first Air Zimbabwe flight from Harare, the country’s capital, landed at London Gatwick Airport. The airline has restarted operations in Europe after an 11-year hiatus, and will conduct these flights using an Airbus A330-300 from the Spanish airline Plus Ultra, which is configured for 291 passengers in two classes.
Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday
On July 17th at 23:56 local time, TAAG Linhas Aéreas de Angola’s first flight to Lisbon, performed by a Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner, took off from Luanda. The aircraft, with registration D2-TET, arrived in the Portuguese capital on July 18th at 06:51 local time following an seven-hour flight.
The Angolan flag carrier previously operated this route exclusively with 289/291-seat Boeing 777-300(ER) aircraft, but will now use a mix of Boeing 777-300(ER) and Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner aircraft, the latter configured for 367 passengers.
As per our database, TAAG operates 12 weekly flights on this route with Boeing 777s and two weekly with Boeing 787s (departures from Luanda on Fridays and Saturdays).
