Temel Kotil, the General Manager of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK).
DEİK General Assembly Held
According to a statement from TUSAŞ, the 37th Ordinary Election General Assembly of DEİK was held on May 25, with the attendance of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, and Minister of Industry and Technology Fatih Kacır, hosted by DEİK President Nail Olpak. During this assembly, the members of the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board, who will serve in the new term, were elected. Temel Kotil, the General Manager of TUSAŞ, was elected as a member of DEİK’s Board of Directors.
DEİK’s Mission and Objectives
Established in 1985, DEİK is tasked with managing the foreign trade, international investments, services, contracting, and logistics of the Turkish private sector. It also researches investment opportunities domestically and internationally and works to increase Turkey’s exports and coordinate similar business development activities. DEİK was restructured under Law No. 6552 on September 11, 2014, and has since fully assumed the role of managing the foreign economic relations of the Turkish private sector. DEİK operates as a voluntary “business diplomacy” organization formed by leading entrepreneurs and business representatives of Turkey, through its founding institutions, members, and business councils.
Temel Kotil’s Other Roles
In addition to his role as a member of DEİK’s Board of Directors, Temel Kotil also serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Defense and Aerospace Industry Exporters’ Association. In these positions, he will continue his efforts to enhance Turkey’s international relations and exports in the fields of aviation and defense industry.
