Turkish Airlines Major Capacity Expansion on East Asia Routes!

Turkish Airlines has announced its 2026/27 winter season flight schedule. From 25 October 2026, THY is increasing capacity on its Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Osaka, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Taipei and Phuket routes. Flight frequencies and aircraft types are being updated across East Asia.

Turkish Airlines (THY) has announced its preliminary flight programme for the 2026/27 Northern winter season. In the new schedule, which will gradually take effect from 25 October 2026, notable capacity increases and aircraft type updates stand out particularly on East Asia destinations. The airline aims to offer higher seat capacity on many routes compared to the 2025/26 season. THY’s final flight programme is expected to be updated with additional adjustments in the coming months.

Istanbul – Beijing (PEK)

  • 4 frequencies Boeing 777-300ER
  • 6 frequencies Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner

  • 4 frequencies 777-300ER
  • 6 frequencies 787-9

Istanbul – Hanoi (HAN)

THY continues to optimise its flight planning for Asian routes in line with global demand, fleet structure and route performance. In the new season, the reflections of the rising trend in Far East tourism and business traffic are particularly notable.

With the capacity adjustments implemented by THY, the aim for the 2026/27 winter season is to strengthen passenger connectivity as well as enhance regional competitiveness.
