Professor Dr Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turkish Airlines (THY), announced that the Turkish Airlines Executive Summit, traditionally held every January, was successfully completed this year with the participation of executives from more than 130 countries.

At the summit, a comprehensive review of the past year was conducted, while goals, expectations and global strategies for the new period were discussed. The organisation stood out as an important gathering that reinforced Turkish Airlines’ shared global vision and culture of cooperation.

From the 500th Aircraft to the “Second 500” Target

At the summit, the pride of THY’s fleet reaching its 500th aircraft was also shared. Reminding that it took 93 years to reach the first 500 aircraft, Bolat announced that much more ambitious targets have been set for the new period.

The targets of Turkish Airlines were listed as follows:

  • 2033: Fleet of 813 aircraft, 171 million passengers
  • 2036: Fleet of 1,000 aircraft, more than 210 million passengers

With these targets, THY aims to further strengthen its position as one of the leading carriers in global aviation.
