A British Airways flight from London to Hong Kong was forced to make an emergency landing in Budapest after a passenger fell ill. The incident occurred late Sunday evening. It was reported that the plane’s brake system overheated after landing due to the full fuel tanks.
A statement from Budapest Airport indicated that all 273 passengers and 13 crew members on board were safely evacuated. Firefighters measured the temperature of the brakes and then performed a cooling operation before handing the aircraft over to technicians. The passenger in serious condition was taken to South Pest Central Hospital by ambulance.
