The Russian flight booking service OneTwoTrip mistakenly listed tickets for flights from Moscow to Istanbul for 479 rubles (182 TL). According to the Business FM portal, these tickets for Pegasus flights sold out immediately. However, the service later informed customers that the sales were canceled due to a “technical error.”
Tickets Sold, But How Many Benefited?
Service representatives speaking to the portal mentioned that the issue lasted only a few minutes. However, they did not disclose how many tickets were sold during this period, creating uncertainty among customers who purchased the tickets.
Some Passengers Checked In, But Tickets Were Canceled
Tourism portal TourDom reported that some customers who purchased these tickets managed to check in, but their tickets were canceled by Pegasus. This situation caused inconvenience for the ticket-holding passengers.
Supreme Court Ruling Sets Precedent
A previous ruling by the Russian Supreme Court, where it upheld the validity of luxury products bought at significantly reduced prices from TsUM’s website, indicates that a similar legal process might occur in the OneTwoTrip case. The cancellation of these tickets could lead customers to seek legal recourse.
