SunExpress launches direct flights from Cologne to Adana, Elazığ, and Trabzon in the 2026 summer season. With increased capacity on the Antalya route, over 70 weekly flights are planned.
SunExpress, the joint venture of Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, is expanding its flight network between Germany’s Cologne and Anatolia as part of the 2026 summer flight programme. The airline is launching direct flights from Cologne to Adana/Çukurova, Elazığ, and Trabzon, while also increasing frequencies on the Antalya, Kayseri, and Samsun routes. Over 70 direct flights between Cologne and Turkey are planned weekly during the summer season.
3 New Direct Routes from Cologne
SunExpress’s new route and flight schedule are as follows:
Cologne – Adana/Çukurova:
- Starts on Sundays from 29 March.
- From 13 May, a Wednesday flight will be added, bringing it to 2 flights per week.
Cologne – Elazığ:
- From 2 April, 1 direct flight per week on Thursdays.
Cologne – Trabzon:
- Starts on 30 March with 1 flight per week.
- From 22 May, increases to 2 flights per week.
With the new routes, direct access will be significantly improved, especially for passengers living in Germany who travel to Turkey to visit family.
Capacity Increase on the Antalya Route
SunExpress is significantly increasing capacity on the Cologne–Antalya route during the summer season.
With up to 7 flights per day, the total weekly flights rise to 49. Morning departures from Cologne and return options spread throughout the day from Antalya provide passengers with more flexible travel opportunities.
The increased capacity is expected to contribute to Antalya’s tourism activity during the summer season.
Frequency Increase for Samsun and Kayseri
Flight frequency is also increasing on existing routes:
- Samsun: From 24 June, 2 flights per week (Wednesdays and Saturdays)
- Kayseri: From 25 June, 3 flights per week
Additionally, SunExpress continues flights from Cologne to:
- İzmir: 14 flights per week
- Dalaman: 3 flights per week
- Ankara: 2 flights per week
