Pegasus resumes flights to Hatay: First airline to land on the new runway
Turkey’s leading low-cost carrier, Pegasus Airlines, has resumed flights to Hatay by operating the first flight to the newly built runway at Hatay Airport, which was damaged in the earthquakes of 6 February 2023.
Historic flight with the Cumhuriyet aircraft
On 1 September 2025, Pegasus became the first airline to land in Hatay, operating its İstanbul Sabiha Gökçen – Hatay service with the aircraft named Cumhuriyet. This marked a significant milestone in the revival of air transport in the region.

Regular flights in summer and winter seasons
Pegasus will operate daily flights on the Hatay route during the summer season and twice daily during the winter season. In addition, the airline has scheduled four weekly flights on the Ercan – Hatay route.
“Connecting every corner of Türkiye”
Expressing pride in operating the first flight to the new runway, Pegasus officials emphasised that with the resumption of Hatay flights, the airline has further strengthened its extensive network that connects every part of Türkiye.
With new investments in its fleet and a continuously expanding network, Pegasus continues to offer affordable travel opportunities to passengers both domestically and internationally.
