Panic on EasyJet Plane: Passenger Attempted to Enter Cockpit
A major panic broke out on EasyJet’s Lyon–Porto flight. On Friday night, shortly after take-off, a passenger reportedly experiencing delirium tried to enter the cockpit. According to statements from French police and the airline, the passenger was restrained by fellow travellers. The aircraft returned to Lyon Airport, where the passenger was handed over to police.
French police announced that the 26-year-old Portuguese passenger underwent a medical examination and was transferred to a French hospital due to “airsickness” and symptoms of delirium.
In its statement, EasyJet said:
“Flight EJU4429 from Lyon to Porto returned to Lyon shortly after take-off due to the behaviour of one of the passengers. The aircraft was met by police on arrival, the passenger was offloaded, and the flight continued to Porto.”
No injuries were reported, and the airline stressed that all safety procedures had been fully observed.
