Engine Failure on Trabzon–Jeddah Flight: Aircraft Lands Safely
A Flynas passenger aircraft operating from Trabzon to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, made an emergency landing shortly after take-off due to an engine failure. In a statement issued by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, it was confirmed that the passengers and crew were in good health.
According to reports, the aircraft took off from Trabzon Airport and declared an emergency at 19:49 due to an engine malfunction. Guided by the Air Traffic Control Centre, the plane was directed to runway 11 and landed safely at 20:18.
The Ministry’s statement read:
“The aircraft was directed to runway 11 as instructed and successfully completed its emergency landing without incident. The 169 passengers and crew on board are in good health, and no adverse situation has occurred.”
Officials stated that a detailed investigation into the technical fault is ongoing.
