Turkey’s national helicopter, GÖKBEY, performed its first overseas flight demonstration at one of the world’s most prestigious aviation events, the Farnborough International Airshow.
Farnborough International Airshow Opens Its Doors
The fair, held in Farnborough, England, is one of the leading events in the aviation, defense, and space industries, and it has opened its doors to visitors with the participation of many international defense and aviation companies. Approximately 80 aircraft are performing demonstration flights at the fair.
GÖKBEY’s Flight Demonstrations and Turkey’s Aviation Technology
Developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), GÖKBEY will perform a total of four flight demonstrations during the fair from July 22-26. The performance showcased by GÖKBEY highlights Turkey’s advancements in aviation technology and its international competitiveness.
TUSAŞ and Other National Projects
At the fair, TUSAŞ is also exhibiting scale models of the HÜRJET jet trainer, HÜRKUŞ, the T129 ATAK Helicopter, the T625 GÖKBEY General Purpose Helicopter, and the UAV family consisting of AKSUNGUR, ANKA, and ANKA III. Additionally, the KAAN experience area and satellite models are available for visitors to explore.
ASELSAN’s Participation
For the first time this year, ASELSAN is participating in the Farnborough International Airshow, showcasing its military and civilian air platform systems at its stand.
