IGA Istanbul Airport has once again confirmed its competence in international aviation training on a global scale. The airport has been re-recognised as a “Platinum Centre of Excellence in Training” by the International Civil Aviation Organization.
The title was announced during the ICAO GISS 2026 Symposium held in Marrakech, Morocco.
The global impact of iGA Academy stood out
The training and development programmes carried out by iGA Academy, operating within IGA, form the basis of this success. Designed in accordance with international standards, these training processes make a significant contribution to the development of human resource capacity in the aviation sector.
The “Platinum” level recognition achieved in this context demonstrates the adoption of a sustainable training vision not only locally but also on a global scale.
The award was presented by the ICAO Secretary General
The title was presented to IGA officials by Juan Carlos Salazar. This development once again showed that Istanbul Airport is an important player in global aviation not only with its operational scale, but also with its capacity for knowledge production and training.
