Under the strategic training collaboration agreement signed between İGA Istanbul Airport and Airbus, Istanbul will transform into a global aviation training and development hub. İGA has become the first training partner that Airbus has directly established with an airport operator.

İGA Istanbul Airport, which has signed a strategic cooperation agreement in the field of training with Airbus, one of the leading actors of the global aviation ecosystem, is preparing to position Istanbul as an international aviation training and development centre.

With the agreement, İGA has earned the title of the first training partner that Airbus has directly established with an airport operator.

Istanbul Transforms into a Global “Training and Development Hub”

The collaboration, to be implemented under the umbrella of İGA Academy, brings together Airbus’ technical expertise and İGA’s field-based learning ecosystem. Theoretical knowledge will be integrated with practical experience in one of the world’s busiest operational airport environments.

The agreement was signed by İGA CEO Selahattin Bilgen and Airbus Beyond CEO Adam McGonigal.

Airbus’ talent development brand, Airbus Beyond, has been delivering global training programmes in the aviation sector for more than 30 years.
