Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that, following the attacks on Iran, flights to many countries have been cancelled until 3 and 6 March 2026 due to risks in Middle East airspace. THY, AJet, Pegasus and SunExpress have suspended their services.
Critical Airspace Statement from Minister Uraloğlu
Abdulkadir Uraloğlu shared the latest situation regarding the region’s airspace with the public following the attacks on Iran. Uraloğlu stated that airspace closure NOTAMs (Notice to Airmen) remain in effect in many countries.
The Minister noted that airspace restrictions continue in Iran, Israel, Iraq, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan and southern Syria. It was reported that civil flights are continuing in a controlled manner in Oman, parts of Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.
Flight Cancellations Extended Until 6 March 2026
Due to ongoing security risks in the region, Turkish airlines have taken a significant decision.

In addition, Pegasus Airlines, in line with an additional decision, has suspended its Iran flights until 12 March 2026.
Flights to Gulf Countries Suspended Until 3 March
According to Minister Uraloğlu’s statement;

- Bahrain
- United Arab Emirates have been cancelled until 3 March 2026.
It was reported that air traffic in the United Arab Emirates is being managed through rerouting as part of emergency measures; however, it was also stated that Emirates and Etihad Airways flights will resume as of today.
