A tragic incident in the Gaza Strip resulted in the deaths and injuries of many Palestinians due to the failure to open humanitarian aid parachute boxes. Mahmoud Basal, the spokesperson for the Civil Defense Unit in Gaza, made a written statement detailing the incident.
The statement indicated that parachutes dropped from aircraft carrying humanitarian aid materials to the northern region of Gaza did not open as expected. Consequently, the aid boxes fell on the Palestinians in the area awaiting assistance. As a result, it was reported that numerous individuals lost their lives, and many others were injured.
However, there was no clear information provided regarding which country’s aid aircraft were present in the area where the incident occurred. Spokesperson Basal did not share a precise number regarding the casualties.
This tragic incident once again highlighted how critical the humanitarian situation is in Gaza. A similar accident occurred on March 8, where five Palestinians lost their lives and many others were injured due to the failure to open humanitarian aid parachute boxes.,
