Engine Failure on Qantas Boeing 737-800

A Qantas flight bound for Brisbane was forced to return to Auckland due to an engine problem. Flight QF120 took off on Monday morning at 6:33 AM and returned to Auckland three hours later.

The Boeing 737-800 made the decision to return an hour before landing due to a technical issue. The pilots followed standard procedure, holding over the North Island before making a safe landing.

A Qantas spokesperson confirmed the aircraft experienced an engine problem and stated that after technicians resolved the issue, the plane departed again for Brisbane.

Passengers arrived in Queensland’s capital at 2 PM local time, six hours later than scheduled.
