An incident occurred on an AJet flight from Ankara to Antalya, where a drunk passenger assaulted a cabin crew member during takeoff. The situation was brought under control with police intervention, and the flight continued.
The incident took place on AJet’s flight VF4008 from Ankara to Antalya. As the aircraft was preparing for takeoff after boarding was completed, a passenger seated in the rear suddenly rushed towards the front during takeoff. Despite being asked to return to his seat, the passenger ran towards the cabin crew member and assaulted them.
As a result of the passenger’s attack, the aircraft returned, and the police were called to the scene. The drunk passenger was swiftly apprehended by the police. After necessary security measures were taken to ensure the continuation of the flight, the passenger’s luggage was removed from the aircraft, and the flight resumed shortly afterward.
No official statement has been made by AJet officials regarding the incident. However, it was reported that despite security concerns, the intervention ensured the safe continuation of the flight.
