The United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has initiated an investigation to review Boeing’s inspection processes for 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
In a statement issued by the FAA, it was mentioned that an investigation has been launched into the company following Boeing’s disclosure in April that it had not completed adequate connection and grounding inspections at the points where wings meet the fuselage on some 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
The statement indicated that the investigation focuses on Boeing‘s process of completing inspections and the possibility of employees falsifying aircraft records. Additionally, it emphasized that Boeing is also reassessing the production system of the 787 aircraft and is required to prepare a plan for the existing fleet in service.
The FAA’s statement highlighted that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure the safety of airline passengers throughout the ongoing investigation process.
