Organised with the communication sponsorship of Corendon Airlines, Alanya Ultra Trail will take place in Alanya on 27–28 March 2026. Offering 3,905 metres of elevation gain, the event provides UTMB Index and ITRA points.
Bringing together nature, history and endurance on the same course, Alanya Ultra Trail invites athletes to a unique challenge stretching from the Mediterranean coastline to the peaks of the Taurus Mountains on 27–28 March 2026. The organisation maintains its place in the international calendar this year as well.
The Legend Stretching from the Taurus Mountains to the Mediterranean Returns
Alanya Ultra Trail will be held on 27–28 March 2026 in Alanya, Antalya’s prominent tourism destination.
The courses, starting from Cleopatra Beach at sea level, climb up to 1,515 metres, offering athletes a total elevation gain of 3,905 metres. With its route extending from the Mediterranean shores to the technical and challenging slopes of the Taurus Mountains, the organisation is regarded as one of the most ambitious races in the ultra trail discipline.
History and Nature Intertwined with the Theme “Tradition to Trail”
With the 2026 motto “Tradition to Trail”, the organisation combines Alanya’s ancient migration routes and historical paths with the modern spirit of ultra trail.
The courses pass through iconic landmarks such as Alanya Castle, the Red Tower and the Alanya Shipyard, offering athletes not only a physical but also a cultural journey.
The organisation was launched in 2017 by national athlete Ahmet Arslan, who holds World and European championship titles. In a short time, it became one of Türkiye’s most prestigious mountain running events.
UTMB Index and ITRA Points Advantage
Alanya Ultra Trail is included in the international calendar, evaluated within the scope of the UTMB Index and awards International Trail Running Association (ITRA) points. This feature makes the organisation an important global target for elite and professional athletes.
Five Different Courses
The 2026 programme features five stages catering to all levels:
- 68K Alanya Ultra Trail (AUT) – 3905 m+
- 42K Taurus Mountain Trail (TMT) – 2130 m+
- 27K Keykubat Mountain Run (KMR) – 1598 m+
- 18K Cleopatra Short Trail (CST) – 864 m+
- 5K Alanya Castle Run (ACR) – 375 m+ (for the first time in 2026)
Strong Sponsorship Structure
While Corendon Airlines undertakes the communication sponsorship of the organisation, the main sponsorship is carried out by 23 Projects. Official supporters include the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), Alanya Municipality and the Turkish Athletics Federation.
As of 2026, the event will be organised by Altura Event, which has international experience.
Helicopter Experience for Runners
As part of the After Party to be held after the race, six athletes will be awarded a helicopter tour through a raffle. Participants will have the opportunity to discover Alanya from the sky.
