AJet, one of Türkiye’s youngest airlines, added four new Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft to its fleet in February. Thus, the number of aircraft added to the fleet in the first two months of 2026 reached seven.
AJet Fleet Strengthened with New Generation Aircraft
AJet, one of Türkiye’s young airline brands, continues to expand its fleet with new generation aircraft. The company added four factory-new Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft to its fleet in February.
Thus, the total number of aircraft that AJet has added to its fleet in the first two months of 2026 reached seven.
New Aircraft Brought from Seattle to Istanbul
Within the scope of the young fleet structure, the aircraft registered as TC-OHL, TC-OHU, TC-OHM and TC-OHK were brought from Seattle, the production centre of Boeing in the United States, to Istanbul.
While the delivery of the new aircraft was completed in February, the aircraft were prepared for operations after the necessary cabin equipment and technical preparations.
Equipped with Domestic “Miligram” Seats
The Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft added to the fleet were fitted with domestically produced “Miligram” seats as part of the cabin equipment. After the completion of installation and technical processes, the aircraft started scheduled flights at the end of February and the beginning of March.
Fleet Reaches 17 Boeing 737-8 MAX Aircraft
With the latest deliveries, the number of factory-new Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft in the AJet fleet reached 17.
Within the scope of the company’s fleet growth strategy, it was reported that new generation aircraft produced by Boeing and Airbus will continue to join the fleet throughout 2026.
Year-End Target: 76% of the Fleet to Be New Generation
According to AJet’s planning, it is aimed that 76 percent of the fleet will consist of new generation aircraft by the end of the year. This step is expected to provide significant advantages in terms of both operational efficiency and fuel savings.
