AJet aircraft, which took off from Diyarbakır heading to Sabiha Gökçen Airport, made an emergency return to its departure runway due to a suspected tailstrike.
Pilot’s Precaution Leads to Return
The captain pilot of the aircraft, registered as TC-JFE, decided to turn back to Diyarbakır after suspecting that the tail might have struck the runway during takeoff. The aircraft landed safely, and a thorough inspection of the tail section was conducted.
No Evidence of Damage Found
The inspection revealed no signs of damage or evidence of a tailstrike. Following this confirmation, the aircraft was cleared for takeoff again, and the flight continued safely to its destination.
