A fire broke out in the manufacturing section of TUSAŞ Engine Industries Inc.’s (TEI) Eskişehir campus. It was announced that there was no loss of life in the fire, which continues to be fought from the air and on the ground.
Fire in the Manufacturing Section of TEI’s Eskişehir Facility
A fire, whose starting time has not been disclosed and whose cause has not yet been determined, broke out in the manufacturing section of TUSAŞ Engine Industries Inc.’s (TEI) Eskişehir campus. Following the notification, fire crews dispatched to the area and TEI emergency response teams began fighting the fire from the air and on the ground in an effort to bring it under control.
While firefighting efforts continue, an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
Fire and Emergency Response Teams Intervened
Following the fire report, firefighting teams were dispatched to the area. Emergency response teams within TEI also participated in the extinguishing efforts.
It was reported that the teams’ efforts to bring the fire under control are continuing. No official statement has yet been made regarding whether anyone was injured in the incident.
Haluk Görgün: There Has Been No Loss of Life
President of the Presidency of Defence Industries Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün stated that the fire was being fought from the air and on the ground and announced that there had been no loss of life in the incident.
Görgün used the following statements in his announcement:
“The fire that broke out in the manufacturing section of our Eskişehir TEI campus is being fought from the air and on the ground. There has been no loss of life. The teams’ efforts to bring the fire under control are continuing. Developments regarding this unfortunate incident will be shared with the public, and information other than official statements should not be relied upon. We extend our best wishes to TEI and our defence industry family.”
Cause of the Fire Is Being Investigated
Investigations into the cause of the fire are continuing. Authorities have not yet shared a detailed statement regarding whether the fire has been brought under control, whether anyone was injured or the damage caused at the facility.
Official authorities are expected to announce new developments regarding the incident to the public.
