Airbus announced €73.4 billion in revenue and €7.1 billion adjusted EBIT in 2025 after delivering 793 aircraft. The 2026 target is 870 deliveries.
The Europe-based aircraft manufacturer Airbus increased its revenue by 6 percent to €73.4 billion in the 2025 fiscal year, achieving its annual target with 793 commercial aircraft deliveries. The company’s adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) reached €7.1 billion, while net profit amounted to €6.61 per share.
Reported EBIT stood at €6.1 billion, and company management announced that it will propose a dividend distribution of €3.20 per share to the General Assembly.
Strong Momentum in Orders
Airbus received gross orders for 1,000 commercial aircraft in 2025. After cancellations, net orders totaled 889, while the overall backlog reached a record level of 8,754 aircraft.
In value terms, consolidated order intake rose to €123.3 billion, while the total order book increased to €619 billion.
Commercial Aircraft Segment Drove Profitability
Commercial aircraft revenues rose 4 percent to €52.6 billion. The segment’s adjusted EBIT totaled €5.47 billion.
The distribution of the 793 aircraft delivered in 2025 was as follows:
- 93 A220 aircraft
- 607 A320 Family aircraft
- 36 A330 aircraft
- 57 A350 aircraft
Airbus continues to ramp up production in the A220 programme and aims to reach a monthly production rate of 13 aircraft by 2028. For the A320 Family, the company plans to increase production to 70–75 aircraft per month by the end of 2027.
Double-Digit Growth in Helicopters and Defence Segments
Helicopter deliveries reached 392 units, while segment revenues increased 13 percent to €9 billion. Adjusted EBIT was reported at €925 million.
In the Defence and Space segment, revenue increased 11 percent to €13.4 billion. The segment’s adjusted EBIT stood at €798 million. Airbus announced contractual updates regarding the delivery schedule of the A400M military transport aircraft programme.
Strong Cash Position
Free cash flow before customer financing totaled €4.6 billion, while total free cash flow reached €4.75 billion.
Airbus’ net cash position rose to €12.2 billion, and the number of employees increased by 5 percent to 165,294.
Target of 870 Deliveries for 2026
Assuming no additional disruptions in global trade and the supply chain, Airbus targets approximately in 2026:
- 870 commercial aircraft deliveries
- €7.5 billion adjusted EBIT
- €4.5 billion free cash flow.
Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury described 2025 as “a landmark year” and said they expect the strong demand for commercial aircraft and momentum in the defence segment to support performance in 2026.
