SunExpress, the joint venture of Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, continues to take delivery of new aircraft as part of its growth and fleet modernisation plans. The airline added four more Boeing 737-8 aircraft to its fleet in January.

Delivery process from Seattle to Antalya

The deliveries of the aircraft registered TC-SLD, TC-SLC, TC-SLE and TC-SLF, collected from Boeing’s facilities in Seattle, were completed on 9, 13, 14 and 27 January respectively. The last aircraft to join the fleet landed at Antalya Airport on 29 January following a planned stop for refuelling. TC-SLF is planned to enter service in the first week of February.

Number of Boeing 737-8 aircraft in the fleet reaches 23

SunExpress had taken delivery of five Boeing 737-8 aircraft in 2025. With the four new aircraft delivered in January, the total number of aircraft added to the fleet from existing orders has reached 23 to date.

More environmentally friendly and comfortable flights

The new Boeing 737-8 aircraft added to the fleet offer reduced fuel consumption and emissions thanks to advanced engine technologies compared to previous-generation models, while providing passengers with a more comfortable and environmentally friendly travel experience through a quieter and more modern cabin design.
