Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport welcomed Wizz Air’s inaugural flight from Bucharest with a ceremony. Throughout the season, Wizz Air will operate direct flights on the Izmir-Bucharest route three times a week.
Operated by TAV Airports, Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport greeted Wizz Air’s first flight from Bucharest yesterday (June 28). Until October 20, 2024, Wizz Air will provide direct flights between Izmir and Bucharest every Monday, Friday, and Sunday.
Statement from TAV Aegean General Manager
Erkan Balcı, TAV Aegean General Manager, stated, “We are delighted to resume direct flights between Izmir and Bucharest after a five-year hiatus. We are working with our stakeholders to connect Izmir to the world through direct flights. We eagerly await welcoming passengers from all over the world.”
These new flights will offer significant convenience for passengers traveling between Izmir and Bucharest and strengthen tourism and trade relations between the two cities.
