A United Airlines passenger plane made an emergency landing at Washington’s Dulles Airport due to a “biological hazard.” The incident occurred on flight UA2477, a Boeing 737-800, which took off from Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport heading to Boston.
According to the New York Post, the suspicion of a biological hazard arose after numerous passengers on the plane suddenly fell ill and began vomiting. The flight crew, activating security protocols, decided to divert the plane to Washington’s Dulles Airport.
The plane landed safely at Dulles Airport. It was reported that the health of the 155 passengers and the 6-member crew was good, and no serious medical intervention was needed. After landing, the passengers’ health was examined on-site, and it was determined that there was no biological hazard.
