Turkish Airlines Signs Agreement with GE Aerospace for 75 New Aircraft and Engine Services

Turkish Airlines has reached an agreement with GE Aerospace for the procurement of 75 B787-9 and B787-10 aircraft and engine maintenance services. The company has made a strategic move in line with its growth objectives.

Turkish Airlines made a significant announcement regarding aircraft procurement and engine maintenance services in its Special Circumstance Disclosure dated 26 September 2025. In line with its strategic growth objectives, the airline announced that it had reached an agreement with Boeing to purchase 75 B787-9 and B787-10 aircraft.

New Aircraft Purchase and Engine Maintenance Services

The firm order for 50 aircraft and an optional purchase of 25 aircraft, agreed upon with Boeing for delivery between 2029 and 2034, marks an important step for Turkish Airlines’ leadership in the global aviation sector.

It was also stated that GE Aerospace has been selected in the tender for the procurement of on-wing engines, spare engines, and engine maintenance services required for these aircraft.

Strategic Plan and Growth Objectives

Within the framework of Turkish Airlines’ strategic plan aimed at creating high value for all stakeholders, this procurement and agreement represent a major contribution to the company’s long-term growth objectives. The aircraft to be delivered between 2029 and 2034 will enhance Turkish Airlines’ global operational capacity and further strengthen its competitiveness in the sector.
