Six passengers intending to travel from Istanbul Airport to Trabzon experienced a major shock due to an error made by Turkish Airlines (THY). The passengers discovered that their tickets had been sold to other travelers on the day of the flight, causing significant inconvenience. Allegedly, the flight time was changed by THY, and due to the passengers’ inability to check in, their tickets were canceled.
According to THY’s statement, the tickets were canceled because check-in was not completed 24 hours in advance. However, the passengers argued that they were able to check in up until the flight time and felt wronged by the situation. After waiting at the airport for hours, the passengers were finally able to board the plane to Trabzon in place of other passengers who did not show up.
The passengers expressed their frustration with the situation, accusing THY of being careless with ticket sales during busy periods and violating passenger rights. They emphasized that airlines should prevent such issues and prioritize passenger satisfaction.
