Turkish Airlines has announced that it will increase the number of weekly flights on the Istanbul–Tokyo Narita route from 10 to 12 between 2 February and 27 March 2027. The flights will be operated with Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
Turkish Airlines Increases Istanbul–Tokyo Narita Flights
Turkish Airlines has decided to increase flight capacity between Istanbul and Japan’s capital, Tokyo, in the first quarter of 2027.
Turkish Airlines, which has one of the world’s largest flight networks, is increasing the number of services on the Istanbul–Tokyo route in order to strengthen its operations in the Asian market. The airline will raise the weekly number of flights from 10 to 12 between 2 February 2027 and 27 March 2027.
Capacity Increase on the Istanbul–Tokyo Route
According to the planning, the flights will be operated from Istanbul to Narita International Airport, one of Japan’s major international airports. The increased number of flights will meet passenger demand, particularly during the winter season when business and tourism traffic is intense.
With this arrangement, Turkish Airlines aims to further strengthen its connections in the Asia-Pacific region.
Operations with Boeing 787-9
The route will be operated with modern and long-haul Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft during the 2026/2027 Northern Hemisphere winter season. These aircraft stand out for their fuel efficiency and passenger comfort and are preferred for long-haul flights.
Flight Schedule
According to the planned schedule, the flights will be operated as follows:
- TK300 – Istanbul 01:50 → Tokyo Narita 19:10
- TK050 – Istanbul 15:25 → Tokyo Narita 08:45 (+1 day)
- TK051 – Tokyo Narita 10:15 → Istanbul 17:50
- TK301 – Tokyo Narita 22:25 → Istanbul 05:40 (+1 day)
