Ahmet Olmuştur, who was appointed as General Manager at Turkish Airlines, made his first statement after taking office. Olmuştur expressed that he deeply feels the responsibility of taking over the management of such a well-established institution as THY.
“Taking Over This Legacy Is a Great Responsibility”
In his statement, Olmuştur expressed his satisfaction at being part of the Turkish Airlines family and emphasized the company’s strong past. He stated that taking over this legacy as he begins his new role is a great responsibility and at the same time an important value for him.
A Message of Thanks to the Previous Management
Olmuştur also thanked the previous executives in his statement.
He highlighted the visionary leadership of former Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, and also thanked former General Manager Bilal Ekşi and Board Member Prof. Dr. Mecit Eş for their contributions.
Focus in the New Era: Safety and Customer Experience
Addressing the goals for the new period, Olmuştur stated that they will act together with the Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee, Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker.
Olmuştur emphasized that they have identified flight safety and customer experience as priority areas, and stated that they aim to further strengthen Turkish Airlines’ leading position in global aviation.
