Turkish Airlines (THY) and Canada-based Air Transat have announced the implementation of new interline and codeshare agreements. This partnership allows passengers to combine flights from both airlines on a single booking, enhancing connectivity between Turkey and key destinations in Canada, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Wider Access with the Interline Agreement
Under the interline agreement, Turkish Airlines passengers will gain convenient access to cities such as Tehran, Delhi, Colombo, and Beirut via Air Transat flights.
More Connections Through Codeshare
The codeshare agreement enables both airlines to place their own airline codes on each other’s flights, primarily on the Istanbul–Toronto route. Additional connected flights are planned to be added in the coming months.
Ahmet Olmuştur, Turkish Airlines Deputy General Manager in charge of Commercial Affairs, stated:

Flight Schedule and Canadian Operations
THY recently marked the 15th anniversary of its Toronto operations. Operating in three Canadian cities including Montréal and Vancouver, the airline will, in cooperation with Air Transat, add a new weekly flight on the Toronto–Istanbul route every Thursday starting May 28, 2026, increasing the weekly frequency to three flights.
