A similar move was taken by Turkish Airlines. According to information obtained, five THY flights scheduled to Tehran were cancelled due to security reasons. It is stated that both airlines are closely monitoring the situation and may take new decisions depending on developments.
Security Measures Increased in Iran
Following protests involving thousands of people across Iran, it was reported that the authorities have increased security measures. In this context, it is stated that internet and telephone access has been restricted in the country and that the communication infrastructure has been deliberately limited.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump made striking statements regarding possible interventions against protesters in Iran. Trump said that he had warned that there would be a strong response if protesters were harmed, and that he had clearly warned the Iranian authorities not to open fire on demonstrators.
