Turkish Airlines Adds Cambodia as the 132nd Country in Its Flight Network

Turkish Airlines launches a new flight to Phnom Penh, Cambodia's capital. Cambodia becomes the 7th country Turkish Airlines serves in Southeast Asia, while Phnom Penh is the 11th city in the region to be added to its network.

Turkish Airlines has expanded its Southeast Asia flight network by launching a new route to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. This new route makes Cambodia the 7th country Turkish Airlines serves in Southeast Asia, and Phnom Penh the 11th city in the region added to the airline’s network.

As Cambodia has emerged as a rapidly growing economic market in recent years, Turkish Airlines’ new flights aim to strengthen the commercial and cultural ties between Turkey and Cambodia. The Phnom Penh flights increase Turkish Airlines’ Far East network to 20 cities and 21 airports, further boosting its connections in the region.

Bilal Ekşi, CEO of Turkish Airlines, made the following statement about the new route:

“As Turkish Airlines, we are continuously expanding our flight network that connects continents. Adding Cambodia as the 132nd country to our network, with the launch of flights to Phnom Penh, is a significant step. These new flights will create new opportunities for both tourism and business. Furthermore, being the only European airline flying to Cambodia will further enhance our leadership in the region.”

Phnom Penh: A Meeting Point of History and Culture

Phnom Penh is located at the confluence of the Mekong and Tonle Sap rivers, and is one of the most important tourism and trade centers in the region, with its historical fabric, cultural heritage, and dynamic city life. The Royal Palace, National Museum, and traditional markets offer visitors a unique cultural experience.

With this new flight, Turkish Airlines is making Cambodia’s capital more accessible. Flights, with a layover in Bangkok, will operate three times a week in both directions.
