Türkiye’s flag carrier airline, Turkish Airlines, has announced that it will resume its Istanbul–Dubai flights starting June 8. With this move, one of the most important air connections between Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates will become active once again.
The resumed flights are expected to strengthen regional air connectivity for both business travel and tourism traffic.
Statement from Türkiye’s Ambassador to the UAE
The announcement regarding the decision was shared on social media by Türkiye’s Ambassador to the UAE, Lütfullah Göktaş.
In his statement, Göktaş said that Turkish Airlines would be “meeting once again in the skies of the United Arab Emirates in June” and added:
“We are delighted to share this important development with our brothers and sisters living in the UAE and our valued citizens. Hello again, UAE!”
Connectivity Between Istanbul and Dubai to Strengthen Again
The resumption of flights between Istanbul and Dubai is expected to increase commercial and tourism activity between the two countries.
While Dubai stands out as one of the Middle East’s largest international transit hubs, Istanbul remains one of global aviation’s strategic centers thanks to its connections across Europe, Asia, and Africa.
High Demand Expected Ahead of Eid al-Adha
The announcement came during a period of rising travel demand ahead of the Eid al-Adha holiday. Across the United Arab Emirates, there has been strong booking activity for international travel during the holiday period, while Türkiye continues to remain one of the most popular destinations for UAE travelers.
Tourism sector representatives state that Istanbul and Türkiye are seeing strong demand from Gulf countries ahead of the summer season.
