Turkey’s flag carrier airline, Turkish Airlines (THYAO), announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2025 to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP). According to the released data, THY posted a net profit of TRY 26.867 billion in this quarter.
The company’s total net profit for the first half of 2025 was recorded as TRY 25.013 billion. As may be recalled, THY had announced a net loss of TRY 1.854 billion in the first quarter of the year.
However, when evaluated on an annual basis, these figures indicate a decline compared to last year. In the second quarter of 2024, THY had reported a net profit of TRY 30.4 billion and had completed the first six months of the year with a total net profit of TRY 37.3 billion.
Accordingly:
The second-quarter net profit decreased by approximately 11.6% compared to the same period last year.
The total net profit for the first six months fell by approximately 32.9% compared to the same period last year.
Despite uncertainties in the global aviation sector, THY management aims to maintain its strong operational performance. The company’s strategic steps to increase revenues and manage operational costs will be decisive in shaping expectations for the remainder of the year.
