A New Generation Lounge Experience Begins at Sofia Airport
TAV Operation Services introduced the renewed Primeclass concept at Vasil Levski Sofia Airport, located in the capital of Bulgaria. Designed in line with passenger needs and expectations, the new lounge combines local culture, modern design, and a human-centered approach, ushering in a new era in airport hospitality.

Opened in Terminal 2, Capacity of 222 Passengers
The company, a subsidiary of TAV Airports, launched the first Primeclass Lounge in Terminal 2 as part of its cooperation with airport operator SOF Connect.
The lounge, which stands out with a total indoor area of 540 square meters and a 450 square meter panoramic terrace, has the capacity to serve 222 passengers at the same time. Within the scope of the agreement, a second lounge is planned to be opened in Terminal 1, and the operation of both areas will be carried out by TAV until 2038.

A New Experience with the “The Place to Be You” Philosophy
With its renewed brand identity, Primeclass places the “The Place to Be You” approach at its core. With this understanding, the lounge area has been designed as a dynamic living space that adapts to the passenger’s mood, pace, and needs, going beyond being a traditional waiting point.
Aude Ferrand emphasized that Sofia is a special starting point for this transformation and stated that they aim to turn the airport experience into a structure that builds an emotional connection.

Sofia Airport Aims to Become a New Hub in Europe
Jesús Caballero highlighted the strategic importance of the cooperation, stating that Sofia has become a rising hub in European aviation and that this step is an important part of the goal to position the airport as a 5-star regional airport within 5 years.
Local Culture and Global Experience Combined
The new Primeclass concept brings local texture to the forefront while maintaining global standards. Inside the lounge:
- Contemporary Bulgarian artists’ works are exhibited with the Local Artist Wall
- Local flavors are offered alongside international cuisine options
- Personalized experience areas are created for passengers

Five Core Experience Areas Stand Out
The lounge design is shaped around five main concepts addressing different passenger needs:
- Live
- Enjoy
- Work
- Relax
- Play
A multi-layered experience is offered with the bar and living area, work sections, children’s areas, relaxation rooms, and a large terrace.
