Super Şimşek, developed by TUSAŞ, has attracted attention with its performance in exercises and the interest of allied countries. The system, which can undertake both target aircraft and kamikaze drone missions, has been included in the inventory of the Air Force Command and plays a critical role in protecting the homeland in the skies.
The most striking feature of the system is its ability to deceive enemy air defense systems by leaving an aircraft signature on radar. Reaching a speed of 0.85 Mach, an altitude of 35,000 feet, and a range of 900 kilometers, Super Şimşek has become an effective platform in deception and suppression missions against air defense systems.
With an integrated 35 kg warhead, the system provides high effectiveness in kamikaze missions and can be directed toward multiple targets simultaneously thanks to its AI-supported swarm flight capability. This feature significantly increases mission success and operational flexibility.
Another prominent advantage of Super Şimşek is its ability to be launched from anywhere. The system can be released from unmanned aerial vehicles such as ANKA III, AKSUNGUR, and ANKA, or from aircraft. It can also be launched from ground-based platforms with the RATO (Rocket Assisted Take-Off) system. In this way, Super Şimşek can become operational in various terrain conditions without the need for any runway.
